Turn your engine off. Don’t leave it idled.
Abolish palm oil… it hides everywhere, soap, detergent, biscuits….
Grow something, one thing, edible… parsley?
Buy quality stuff… not cheap copy cats…
The internet isn’t the forever-sustainable source of information. Go to the library. Get books.
Accept that you are vulnerable. (Stay at home when you’re sick [or when the World is battling a pandemic])
Declutter your wardrobes, drawers, cupboards, bookshelves, cabinets, sheds, garages, knick-knacks, etc… You don’t need all that you own. You do not exist by what you own.
Apply self-regulation. Do not replenish the now vacant space left by your declutter!
Make a dish (every dish?), out of scratch, not out of a packet.
Grow another edible crop. Build on the success or failure of week 10. Learn from your mistakes.
Appreciate the simplicity of life. A small bond fire with friends is all you need!
Make a present that you made with your own hands… not bought in the shops.
Insulate your house the way you can. In the best case scenario, invest in roof insulation, wall insulation, floor insulation, double glazing… For us, it’s hanging thick curtains on all windows. It’s not perfect, but it’s making a huge difference in regulating temperature fluctuations.
Trade. Barter. Exchange. Swap. The parallel economy is rich, fun and connective.
